Let's Just Talk A Minute
About
I started this blog in my quest for answers. What makes us tick? What are we afraid of? What do we shy away from? What triggers us? My curiosity has no bounds, and I wanted to start conversations that will help us reframe how we see ourselves and the world.
With a BSc in Business Management and fresh out of college, I worked in the finance industry for 10 years. While I enjoyed that time in my life and learned a lot from it, it also confirmed the loudest whisper in the back of my mind - this was not my calling. So I decided to take time off and regroup.
Fast-forward 15 years and here we are - a marriage, a divorce and two amazing kids later. In the years that have come and gone, life has taken me on quite a journey, with my kids teaching me more about life (and myself!) than I could ever teach them.
One of the happiest times of my life was a brief stint in Tanzania volunteering at an orphanage, building wells and looking after 20 children. More recently, in the hope of learning more about healing, I qualified as a Master in Reiki - the ancient Japanese form of energy healing. I’ve taken courses in psychotherapy and childhood development, and continue reading and researching, while also writing for educational apps.
My interest in healing undeniably stems from the healing I’ve had to do for myself, and my desire to help others in their journey has landed me here. I’ve been wanting to do this for a very long time, but for whatever reason the only time is now.
So as I continue on this journey, I invite you to come along. Let's all help in walking each other home.
Let’s talk.
